Reading Teen

I really loved this book! Tell Me A Secret hit really close to home for me. I was 18 when I got pregnant, and it was one of the hardest and most terrifying times in my life. It's funny, but I don't think about it that much anymore....but reading this book brought back so many emotions. My experience was not like Miranda's, because my family was wonderful and helped me through everything, but a lot of the feelings were the same. And it really gave me an appreciation of what my life could've looked like if things had just been a little different. I can't even imagine how hard and how lonely it would have been going through the ups and downs of having a baby, especially one you didn't plan on, and one you're not sure you have the ability to properly take care of. Reading this part of Miranda's life, broke my heart. But it's also a story of hope and redemption. I had so many emotions go through me while reading this! I wanted to scream, and cry, and hit something......and then go hold a baby. This is Holly Cupala's debut novel and I thought it was amazingly done.~Andye http://Readingteen.net/
