Reading Teen

I do not read many vampire books. I think I have only read Thirst by Christopher Pike and it was just okay to me. Blood was a pretty good vampire book, I was surprised I liked it (I'm more of a werewolf girl). Even though fans of Twilight might not believe me, I thought the plot and the characters were very interesting. This book doesn't have the massive romance drama that Twilight had either... just a good story, written pretty well. K.J. Wignall tells the story from Will's point of view also. I usually read stories from a females point of view, so occasionally the change of pace is nice. There is some romance in this book, I don't think it would be very interesting if there wasn't. Will falls for a beautiful homeless girl named Eloise and protects her from harm. I also enjoyed the several tense moments in the book, some pretty darn good action scenes. This book had a very good mystery to it, that Will and Eloise solve together. This book will keep you guessing from start to finish. You'll enjoy figuring it out along with them.Amy
