Audiobook:I really enjoyed this audiobook! Call me stupid, or whatever, but the readers had Australian accents, and I seriously ate it up! The book takes place in Melbourne, so I really appreciate that the publishers actually got people that sounded like they lived there. It added a lot to the book! It also had three different readers, for each of the characters whose points of view were represented, and I liked them all. Sometimes their dialog was so funny, and I think having their Australian accents just made it even more enjoyable! If you're looking for a fun, sweet, contemporary audiobook, I think you'll like this one! At a Glance:Contemporary isn't normally my genre, but I found myself really enjoying this book. It's cute, sweet, funny, and it made me want to go spray paint the side of a building.......after I find the perfect shade of blue! High Points:The funny. This book often had me laughing out loud. Australia. I loved roaming the streets of Melbourne with Lucy and Ed, and all their Aussie slang. Art. I'm not an art lover. I mean, I like to look at it, and see pretty things, but I can barely draw a stick figure. None of that mattered, though. I could still appreciate the artsy-ness of this book through Lucy and Ed's eyes. Awesome supporting characters, dangerous missions, seeing the beauty through the darkness, staying out all night, adventure, Pink VW vans, cubicles of truth, best friends, lost loves, new loves, old loves, amazing mentors, no guts no glory, and an awesome right hook. I seriously enjoyed this book, so much more than I expected to!The Downside:For me, there was too much profanity. Personal preference, just don't like it. Yeah, yeah, realistic, blah, blah, whatever, I still don't like it. Also, I wish there had been some pictures. Like I said before, I'm not artsy, which also means I'm not that great at visualizing. I've been loving the pictures in different books lately, and wish some of the art had been included. Can't really think of anything else!The romance:Too sweet! Full of tension. Lots of ups and downs and head-smacks and sighs. Lucy was a tad annoying at times because she was SO obsessed with Shadow, when she'd never met him, but I'm just being picky. Otherwise, I loved the way that Lucy and Ed were together. I love how they spent so much time learning each other in one night, that it felt like a much longer time period. I even said on my goodreads updates, that this was kind of reminding me of 'You've Got Mail' only with graffiti instead of emails. It was just sweet and complicated, but mostly happy. The bottom line:If you like being happy too, then you should read this book!Book or Audio:I'm going to have to go with audio on this one!
