The Savage Grace: A Dark Divine Novel

The Savage Grace - Bree Despain Well I have waited for the final book in the Dark Divine Novel Trilogy, The Savage Grace, for quite sometime now! I have loved Bree Despain's writing and I have enjoyed this series so much. I have a thing for werewolves, and the Dark Divine series has been so fun to read. I wasn't sure if The Savage Grace was going to be good as the last two, just because it is so hard for me to keep reading about the same story. I found that The Savage Grace wasn't as good for me as the first two. It was pretty slow in the beginning, but by the middle it picked up a bit. It wasn't until the last few chapters that I was entirely engrossed.Grace Divine has been a great character for me. In this book though she seemed somewhat distant. However, Grace has so much on her shoulders, with Daniel still being in wolf form, she has to be the leader of the pack. She has the wolf inside her now, and the wolf's voice is always talking to her. The wolf wants to come out and take control. Grace is constantly pushing the wolf down, not listening to the hate and anger inside her head. Grace just seemed out of place. I just think she is was trying so hard not to lose control. She is a teenager trying to graduate, yet leader of the pack while Daniel is away, it must be very hard and stressful. I know she misses Daniel so much in the very first part of the book. It isn't until Daniel actually comes back that this book gets good, interesting and romantic.Daniel was as strong and confident as always. His place as Alpha is what Daniel was born to be. His amnesia, in The Savage Grace, makes for an interesting twist. Daniel was a pro, in fighting, in this last in the series. The fight scenes were over the top. Daniel's pack was a great addition to the book. I loved all the characters... Brent, Slade, Ryan, Marcos and Zach... Great characters to read about. Daniel was awesome in this book. Jude (Grace's brother) even has a great role in The Savage Grace also, he really grows, I loved him for it!The antagonist Calab Kalbi is more sinister than ever, I hate the man werewolf! He gives one heck of a show at the end. The twist in the end is quite the page turner, it's awesome! The battle scene in the end is more awesome! If you have started The Dark Divine Trilogy, you will definitely want to finish it! It you haven't started and love werewolves, romance, action and magic then START this trilogy!-AmyReadingteen.netViolence: HeavySexual: MildProfanity: MildFor full content of The Savage Grace go to Parental Book Reviews.
