The Maze Runner (Maze Runner Series #1)

The Maze Runner - James Dashner So, I recently bought the book and finally read it. And I'm kicking myself for not reading it sooner. Kicking myself hard. From the very first page, The Maze Runner brings up many questions that are just begging to be answered. The many layers of mystery that form this book is almost too much, thus making it amazing. There are so many unknowns about not only the character's (The main character included) but also the entire world. And though there are many rants that I could rant, all of them are stupid and just further prove the awesomeness of the book. This isn't something I often remark on when it comes to books, but The Maze Runner had some amazingly written characters. Some of them are so obviously thought-out and deeply planned that I spent a few sleepless nights pondering on just where they would go next. I just love it when you can't even begin to think of just how much thought went into the molding and shaping of a story; this is what Dashner did in The Maze Runner. As of writing this review, I am trying to convince my mom to take me to the bookstore first thing in the morning to get the sequel in the series The Scorch Trials. I cannot wait to read this book. But, just from the first book I can tell that I'm in for reading an absolutely epic series. -Austinreadingteen.net
