Once (Eve Trilogy Series #2)

Once - Anna Carey About the Book: This book was so not what I expected. I'm going to be completely honest, after I finished Eve, I wasn't sure if I would end up reading the sequel. I felt like Eve's actions at the end of the first book were extremely selfish, and it made me dislike her. So, you're probably asking yourself, "Why on earth would she read the sequel to a book she wasn't crazy about?" And the answer to that is: I have no idea. I honestly cant remember what made me listen to Once, I have a mile high TBR pile, and Once wasn't supposed to be on it. But maybe it was fate. I absolutely loved Once. I felt like Eve matured so much during this book, and while she still seemed a little naive, I loved her so much more. Another thing I loved about Once was how drastically the setting changed from what it was in Eve. Not that I had anything against the setting in Eve, I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I just found it fun to "see" the City of Sand, and read about how Eve and Caleb interact in a well-populated urban area, which was completely the opposite of watching them struggle to survive in the wilderness during Eve. Lastly, I loved Caleb. I loved how completely determined he was to be with Eve. He literally risked his life constantly just to be able to spend a few minutes with her. While that got him into trouble, and was completely reckless, it was definitely what I loved about him.Fun Fact: My boyfriend's name is actually Caleb, so that made reading Once kind of strange, but kind of interesting at the same time;)-Kitreadingteen.net
