Boundless

Boundless - Cynthia Hand So, so good. And exciting. And sad. And emotional. At a Glance:BOUNDLESS was a fantastic ending to an amazing series. The Unearthly series continues to be one of my all-time favorite paranormal romances, and I'm so thrilled that I read and loved it until the end!Cover:I really like these covers and I'm so glad that they have stayed consistent throughout the series. I hate it when covers change before all the hardcovers are released, so YAY!Action:If you read my review of Hallowed, you'll know that I was a little disappointed in the lack of action in that book. Luckily, that isn't the case in Boundless. Though it wasn't non-stop action, there was definitely enough of it to get the adrenaline flowing, (Samjeeza is the least of your worries!) along with a mystery, and a couple of plot-twists to keep you on your toes!Romance:Although there weren't really a lot of romantic scenes in this book, there was underlying romantic tension throughout the entire story. Of course there's still the Christian-Tucker battle, with all it's frustrations and teases. By the end of this book, my heart was in knots! I love both of these boys, for very different reasons, and I love how Cynthia is able to create two completely different characters who are both so right for Clara in their own ways. I was totally Team Tucker in book one, then was on the fence in book two. Now, in Boundless, I just want them both.Heroine:Clara definitely frustrated me in this book, but I still think she's a completely admirable and worthy heroine. There were a couple of moments where I just wanted to slap her and make her jump into action, but every frustration I had with her, she had with herself, and grew from it. Hero:Christian. Oh Christian. Has there ever been a more deserving character? He is the epitome of the word "hero." He earns that title and then some. If you are a fan of Christian, you will love him even more in this book, and you'll get a lot of time to love him as he is in it a lot! He is strong, he is fierce, he is loyal, he is patient, he is forgiving.....yeah, he's perfect.Favorite Supporting Character:Webster. You'll have to find out who he is later :PSomething I loved:Oh, so many things. I'm going to have to go with Cynthia's writing. There's something about the way that she writes that just captures me completely. I get lost in her writing, and there's never a boring moment! The tension, the storyline, the imagination.....she does it all so, so well!Something(s) I hated:Not. Enough. Tucker. Cliffhanger? Nope, this is the end. But I'll use this little question to voice one complaint. I loved the book, all of it. I'm ok with how things turned out (can't spoil), but I'm left with a little feeling of unresolved-ness. I just wasn't quite satisfied. It's something I can't really talk about without spoiling things, but there was so much investment, and......I can say no more. I just hope there's another story brewing.Would I recommend it?ABSOLUTELY! If you like paranormal romance, at all, please read this series! Will I buy/keep it?I will be keeping my ARC and buying a hardcover. Yep, it has to match my others!Book Doppelgangers:Fallen by Lauren Kate, Firelight by Sophie Jordan, Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini, A Need So Beautiful by Suzanne Young-AndyeReadingteen.net
