The Boy on the Bridge

The Boy on the Bridge - Natalie Standiford At a Glance:ReadingTeen came back from BEA in NYC not too long ago, and this book was in the very large pile of books. It caught my eye instantly, I love the cover. So I just decided to read it because it was short and I've never really read a contemporary book before.Laura goes to Russia for school and falls for a very charming Russian man. They fall in love instantly. On and off, the love drama is intense. Secrets await! This book was just okay for me. It was a very quick read. It was funny and romantic. Just not off the charts good.Romance:Oh, the romance! I absolutely loved the romance. It was amazing... But, I thought they got into their huge relationship way to quickly. The romance was on the sweet side.Heroine:Laura's character was so funny! Reading about her was so fun and entertaining! I would definitely like to read more about her life!Hero:I've never read about anyone like Alyosha (Alexei). He's Russian, funny, romantic, lovable, and absolutely gorgeous! He was definitely one of my favorites... until it got to the end. Then I kinda wanted to punch him.Favorite Supporting Character:I really liked Laura's friend Karen. She was one of my favorites! She was really funny, and was a really great friend to Laura.Something I loved:I loved how the book was set in Russia, I've never read a book like this before. I really loved the romance and all of the different characters.Something(s) I hated:I didn't really like the character Olga. She just got annoying and she just bugged me. Sometimes Laura would get a little dramatic about little things, and that kinda annoyed me. I thought the book could have been longer though.Cliffhanger? Yes, there is a cliffhanger, I really hope Natalie Standiford will write a sequel.Would I recommend it?Yes, I definitely recommend it to people who love romance, contemporary, funny with a Russian
